The goals of education, and of a school, indisputably include building cognitive abilities such as reading and math. Increasingly, however, each of our experience clearly indicates that children should be equipped with other critical abilities that allow them to succeed in and contribute to the society they live in. We will broadly call such traits – such as communication, critical thinking, creativity, self-management, decision-making, perseverance – Critical LifeSkills.
A common belief is that life skills are optional and secondary to a good academic performace only if resources are available. Research, however, unequivocally shows that students who develop social-emotional skills alongside academic mindsets are better equipped to succeed not only in school but more importantly in real-life.
We bring our understanding of corporate life to benefit the lives of students. Mentor’s LifeSkills for Students is a two-week learning program for Kids. This includes

- Once you are enrolled in the program, parents and the participants will provide online responses to a Personality Assessment and a Multiple Intelligence Assessment. A report is generated describing the child’s personality & the available intelligences.
- The Children will go through 12 sessions of 3 hours each. Much of the class will be either discussion-based & experiential in nature. We use movies, role plays, skits. Students should be comfortable participating in large- and small-group discussions.
- There shall be enjoyable home assignments & projects and Guest Lectures from Industry Leaders to provide perspectives to the Children.
- With the help of the Assessment reports, there will be a 3—hour counselling session for parents and children to understand the child’s personality and orientation.
